All Nitra jewellery is crafted in 92.5 sterling silver — the international standard for fine silver. Each piece is stamped with the "925" mark as a guarantee of authenticity. The remaining 7.5% is typically copper, which gives the piece its strength and durability, since pure silver is too soft to hold shape on its own.
Every Nitra piece carries a 925 stamp, and our jewellery is crafted in line with BIS purity standards. Where applicable, certified hallmarking is included with the product.

No. Pure 92.5 sterling silver does not stain skin under normal conditions. In rare cases, mild discolouration can occur due to a reaction between the copper in the alloy and your skin's natural oils, sweat, lotions, or perfumes — this is harmless and washes off easily. It is not a sign of impurity or low quality.
92.5 sterling silver is generally considered safe for sensitive skin and is one of the most hypoallergenic metals available in fine jewellery. However, if you have a known nickel or copper allergy, we recommend doing a small patch test before regular wear.

Yes — orders can be cancelled or modified anytime before they are dispatched. Write to us at nitra.marketplace@gmail.com or call +91 93919 79905 with your order number. Once dispatched, the order will need to be processed as a return after delivery.
Every Nitra piece arrives in our signature jewellery box, ready to be gifted. For a personal touch, you can add a handwritten note at checkout — free of charge.
Orders are dispatched within 24–48 hours of confirmation. Delivery typically takes 3–5 working days for metro cities and 5–10 working days for other locations. Made-to-order or customised pieces may take an additional 5–10 working days to craft before dispatch.
Yes. We ship pan-India through trusted courier partners. To check if your pin code is serviceable, simply enter it on the product page or at checkout.
Currently, Nitra ships only within India. We're working on expanding to international destinations soon. If you're based outside India, please write to us at nitra.marketplace@gmail.com and we'll try to help on a case-by-case basis.
Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive a tracking link via email and WhatsApp. You can also track your order anytime under "My Orders" in your Nitra account.
Shipping is free on all prepaid orders across India. A small handling fee may apply on COD orders, which will be displayed at checkout.
We offer a 5-day return policy on all eligible products from the date of delivery, no questions asked. Items must be unused, unworn, and returned in their original packaging with all tags and authenticity cards intact.
The following are not eligible for return:
  • Customised or engraved pieces
  • Pierced earrings and nose pins (for hygiene reasons)
  • Clearance / final sale items
  • Gift cards

We currently provide store credit in the form of Gift Card Coupons rather than cash or bank refunds. Store credit is initiated within 48 hours of the returned item passing quality inspection, and the Gift Card Coupon typically arrives in your email within 5–7 working days.
We do not currently support product exchanges. We request you to make an informed purchase before placing your order. For sizing queries, feel free to reach out to us before buying — we're happy to help.
We're sorry that happened. Please write to us within 24 hours of delivery at nitra.marketplace@gmail.com with your order number, clear photos of the product, and an unboxing video if available. We'll arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost.

You can exchange it for a different size within 5 days of delivery, as long as the piece is unworn and in original condition.
Most of our chains and necklaces feature small extender loops that allow you to adjust the length by an inch or two. The exact length is mentioned on each product page.
Yes, we love a good custom request. From engraving initials to designing a piece from scratch, write to us at nitra.marketplace@gmail.com with your idea and we'll get back to you with feasibility, pricing, and timelines. Customised pieces typically take 5–10 working days to craft before dispatch.
Absolutely. Select pieces on our website have an "Add Engraving" option at checkout. For everything else, just drop us a note before placing your order.
Store each piece individually in the airtight pouch or jewellery box it came in. Keeping pieces separate prevents scratches, tangling, and surface dulling. Avoid leaving silver out in the open or in humid bathrooms — air and moisture are silver's biggest enemies.
Wipe each piece gently with a soft cotton or microfibre cloth after every wear to remove sweat, oils, and residue. For deeper cleaning, dip briefly in a mild solution of warm water and a drop of pH-neutral soap, rinse with clean water, and pat dry. Never use toothpaste, harsh chemicals, or abrasive scrubs — these can scratch the surface and damage any plating or stones.
A few things will dull or tarnish silver faster than usual:
  • Perfumes, deodorants, hair sprays, and body lotions
  • Chlorinated pool water and seawater
  • Hot water, steam rooms, and saunas
  • Household cleaning chemicals and bleach
  • Makeup and sunscreen with active ingredients
Silver should be the last thing you put on, and the first thing you take off.
We don't recommend it. Soap residue, hot water, and especially chlorine or salt water can cause silver to tarnish or develop a dull film over time. Always remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
Not at all. Tarnishing is a completely natural reaction between silver and the air — it does not mean your jewellery is fake or damaged. Most light tarnish can be removed at home with a soft polishing cloth. For heavier tarnish or intricate pieces, we recommend professional cleaning.
Yes. If your Nitra piece needs a refresh, you can send it to our Hyderabad store for professional cleaning and re-polishing. Write to us at nitra.marketplace@gmail.com for details and to arrange a pickup. Charges and turnaround time will be shared on request.
Plated finishes (gold-plated, rhodium-plated, oxidised) are more delicate than plain silver. Avoid water, perfumes, and lotions entirely. Store them separately in a soft pouch and clean only with a dry cloth — never with liquid cleaners or polishing solutions. With proper care, plating can last comfortably for 12–24 months of regular wear.
Stones, pearls, and enamel are softer than silver and need gentler handling. Avoid soaking these pieces in water, never use chemical cleaners, and clean only by wiping the silver portions with a soft dry cloth. Pearls in particular should never come into contact with perfumes or hair products.
